AVS provided me with a written proposal for installation of a Carrier heat pump and Carrier air handler along with a digital thermostat for $5300. I agreed and AVS started installation soon thereafter. They installed the Carrier heat pump, Carrier air handler along with a Honeywell digital thermostat. Everything appeared to work ok at first but we discovered that the 10 kilowatt auxiliary heater was not functioning. AVS returned, investigated and determined that the Honeywell digital thermostat needed to be replaced with a Carrier brand digital thermostat.

When they wanted to charge me an additional $200 for the new thermostat, I of course objected because it wasn't my fault they chose a thermostat that did not function properly. But they refused to correct their mistake without the $200, so I paid. I feel I cannot trust this company to act in a fair manner. I would not recommend them.
