My experience at this business was they discriminated against my hispanic relitive and actually told her she could not wait in the building because she was only 12 years old. They stated she could not wait in the waiting room and that she had to go into the room with me or wait out side. They said it very rude and abrupt in front of her that I felt uncomfortable tanning that day. My mother and sister who were with me felt the same way and we all left. They let us all out of our one year contract because of this yet kept the employee.

I believe its worth noting that my relitive was the only hispanic in our group of four

And this happened in front of other customers as well. The service was just horrible and they were very unapologetic.

What is your complaint?? As you state you were let out of your contract so what is your beef????? They made you hispanic "relitive" leave - so what??? A child has no reason to be in a tanning salon Grow up

You brought your 12 Year old to a Tanning Salon. They stated that the 12yo could not be in the waiting area, and either had to be with you in the tanning room or wait outside. Where is the Ripoff?

You were with 2 other adults. Did all 3 of you have to get tanned at exactly the same time? Could one have watched the 12yo while you were getting tanned and then switch?

They then let you out of your contract...Again where is the RipOff?

By the way why are you going to a tanning salon when you can not make your car payments and had to choose between that and putting food on your kids table?

It clearly states that no child under 14 years of age can be left unattended in the lobby. I'm an ex-employee and I've tanned tons of hispanics. I think you're missing the point and being hyper sensitive by pulling the racial card. I don't deny that hispanics are discriminated against everyday, but I don't think this applies. She was 12 years old and had she been 14 they wouldn't have cared if she stayed in the lobby. Cal Sun doesn't pay it's employees enough to babysit customers kids while they tan. PERIOD. The company is ridiculous and I don't care for them much as an employer, but this definitely doesn't apply.
