This is a warning to everyone that Dr. David Mann is not an Ethical Custody Evaluator and will not hesitate to lie in his report, on his notes, and in court.
Dr. Mann was asked to do a Child Custody evalutaion to help the court determine which of us is best suited to be the school parent. My son's mother lives in Murrieta and I live in El Segundo so split custody was not really an option...thanks to the mother running away to Murrieta with our son when he was not even one (he's now 5)
I can write 20 pages of information and details regarding the case, but ultimately it comes down to is that despite being given boxes of evidence, Dr. Mann used none to support his recommendation ---
That I should buy an investment propety in Murrieta and live there part time.
Yes, I am very serious. That was what his recommendation was.
After reading through his report I found so many errors that I had to ask the judge to ask him to review his work for factual inaccuracies. The judge agreed I went in and he threatened me. He said that if he were to be put on the stand he would tell the court that I am too involved with my son. And that is exactly what he did.
I will add more later.

In January 2006, a 733 evaluator found that Dr. Mann's 730 of me included test score errors, that he administered test that lacked any psychometric validity, and that he was unusually biased for my exwife and against me, not recommending even one parenting/personal intervention for her, while asking that I do XYZ to reestablish any form of meaningful relationship with my kids. The only recommendation he did make for my ex was that her therapist refer her to a male therapist to deal with her issues of trust toward men. Mann billed us for two conversations he claimed he had had with this "female" therapist of hers. When I told Mann my ex's therapist was a "man", Dr. Mann amended his written evaluation to conclude that he "spoke it right, just wrote it wrong". Aside from her issues of trust toward men, what about her "hearing and seeing demons" at church Dr. Mann, and her "putting oil on the kids heads" because she thought they might become demon possessed Dr. Mann? He knew all about this yet did nothing! Filed complaint with Cal Board of Psyc who did nothing -- I'm thinking because Mann was an "expert reviewer" himself. I'm working with Cal Att General on similar case. Last month Att General said, "It's becoming apparent that at some point here I'm going to need to have a conversation with my colleague at The Board."
