GreenLeaf Modify - US Homeowners Relief Took $2,000 upfront from me and didn't perform agreement - I lost my home to forecloure Irvine, California

We hired GreenLeaf to do a Loan Modification for us after they sent numerous solicitations to our home.  We were not behind on any mortgage payments when we agreed to hire them in February, 2008. 

We paid them $2,000 up front and month after month we heard nothing - just generic emails stating the process takes between 30 and 90 days.  After a seven months of hearing nothing from Greenleaf, who had now changed their name to US Homeowners Relief and move their office, we received a Notice of Default on our home. 

We contacted a local law firm in our town and they got an answer for us in less than 2 weeks.  Our lender was not willing to do a loan modification on our mortgage.   We were forced into foreclosure for non-payment of our mortgage in over ten months. 

We tried to contact every single person at Greenleaf - from Damon Carriger the salesman we originally spoke with  on the phone several times - to Rosa Valencia - our so-called negotiator - to a Sue Mehta (I don't know what she was) to writiing to the lawyer, Kurt Ellkins who signed the letter to our mortgage comany - to the Dispute Department and not one single person has contacted us or refunded us our $2,000.

We have submitted a complaint against Kurt Elkins and the CA State Bar is investigating him for fraud.  We took GreenLeaf (US Homeowners Relief) to CA Small Claims Court and won a judgement against them for $5,000.  We are now attempting to collect this judgement - since they never even bothered to show up for court.

Please run very fast if US Homeowners Relief contacts you - they have an F+ raiting with the Better Business Bureau and only take consumers money and do not do anything for them.  Please check out any other Loan Modification Companies listed in Southern Ca, specifically Irvine, CA, since they change their name and start a new company when they get to many complains.  Please beware and always check out these Modification Companies before you sign or give them any money.
