I recently decided to use a loan modification company to help me stay in my home.  I was told by a "Senior Loan Consultant" that I qualified perfectly under Obama's Hope plan.  They (the "seniors" name was Renee) told me that I was going to be able to get a 2% fixed interest rate for the life of my loan.  I was told by her that I was guaranteed this interest rate and to stop making my mortgage payment.  In order to lock in this rate I was told that I had to pay the company, modify loan experts, $950.  And then another $1000 I would have to pay within 30 days of signing the documents.

I needed the help because at that point I had just lost my job and was not sure how I was going to pay my mortgage.  So it was a relief when Renee told me that under the this program I did not have to make that payment. 

It has now been 4 months.  I received acceleration letters and when I asked Renee about them, she told me to not worry.  That she has an attorney on the case.  And that if my house goes into foreclosure, she can get it out. 

Now, today, a certified letter arrived at my house with a letter from an attorney that is representing my mortgage company.  I was told that I was being foreclosed on and that I was going to be going to Sherrif sale. I have been calling Renee repeatedly and she has yet to call me back.  I called the main office line to speak to a manager and was told that "Pasquale/Noah" was not available to take my call.  

I called my mortgage company today as well to find out what was going on with my mortgage.  I told them I was working with Modify Loan Experts to modify my loan.  My lender told me that they had NO RECORD of anything on file with that company.  That they had not received any information of a loan modification.

I am now in jeopardy of losing my home.  A home that I have had for 15 years.  I have 4 children and am now having to come up with $6,000 in order to not go to sherriff sale. 

This company is the biggest scam.  I lost $2000 on this loan modification that I was told by Renee I qualified for.  I now am scrambling to come up with $6000 to make my loan current so that I dont lose it.

I want others out there to be very weary of this company.  They will tell you whatever it takes to get your money.
