NetDetective.com Classic Bait and switch Deland Florida

I subscribed via internet to this service because I suspected that my criminal background information was erroneous or outdated and wanted to run a check on myself. The web site offered this as a lifetime service for only $29 with a 90 day 100% monet guarantee.

After registering and paying the $29 on my credit card I proceeded to run a criminal background check on myself. I was immediatly sent to another window that informed me that this servive was not available to me and required an additional billing of $10.00 in order to upgrade to NetDectectivePlus. Frustrated but determined to get answers I clicked on the upgrade now box.

Before I knew what was happening another box (which was already pre-checked) appeared on the very bottom of the screen and Presto! I was now the owner of a NetDetectivePlus account for the price of $29 plus $10 upgrade fee PLUS $29 per month thereafter!

I immediately sent a number of e-mails Stating my disatisfaction and desire to terminate my service. Then after doing some research (which I should have done first) I found your website and a long history of similar complaints about NetDetective.com.

Wanting to spare myself the anticipated run around on the phone and having the convenience of living just a few minutes from Deland I personally drove to their stated location. View into the office inside was prohibited by mirror window tint. The sign above the door did not identify them as netdetective or HD publishing only as "customer Solutions". And the front door was locked.
Luckily I was able to obtain access (to everyones surprise)through an employee who was on his way back inside.

After Stating my case the account was quickly rescinded and at my request was given a written confirmation of such. I was informed at that time that as per the "terms" there would be no refunds. Not wanting to argue the "money back garauntee" I called my credit card and disputed the charge.
