I bought a washer from Sears in November of 2008, it broke down July 21st of 09 it took 3 weeks and 3 different repairmen to fix it. I called on the 27th of july they sent a guy out he said it was the timer on the machine (WRONG!) he did not have the part on the truck so he had to order it that took about 4 days. Another appointment was made for me and they send another guy out (by the way my appointment was between the hours of 8 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. he showed up up at 4:30 p.m. calmed he did not have me on the list for repair also he told me I had a bad outlet. (WRONG!)
I called an electrican out and he said the guy for Sears lied there was nothing wrong with my outlet call the company and see if they will replace your machine I did but because it was past 90 days they could not replace it, they would only if I had 4 serivce calls within a month. Sears sent out another repair man on August 5th and he KNEW HIS JOB! My machine needed a new motor a new timer and new switches which you could say now I have a new machine. This machine was a problem but the repairman said he never saw a washer less than a year old that had to have all these major parts replaced. I agree Sears should have given me a new machine any way my warranty only last until November of 09 even after replacing all these parts they would not extend it because it comes from the Whirlpool not them. But if you want to buy an extended warranty that is through Sears and it will cost $79.00 for 1 year and $110.00 for 2 years. I Was pissed how dare you offer me this Sears should have worked with me and extended my warranty as a valued customer.
As far as I'm concerned I WILL NEVER BUY ANY MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM SEARS AGAIN!
