In Aug of 05 I purchased a kenmore over the range microwave, which was made in June of 05. In Oct 08 the control panel caught on fire. I had to have the fire dept assist me in putting out the fire. Thank god i did not leave the kitchen my house could have went up in flames.

I spoke with several people in their recovery, nothng they can do because i did not buy one of their warranties. I tried reporting it to them as well as the consumer interaction center, as a safety issue but because it is not on recall they would not take a report. Between the years of 04 and 05 I purchased over $3000 with Sears for appliances. A microwave should last more than 3 years. I want a replace- ment at their expense.

Call Kenmore - it is not Sears responsibility to give you a new one

Sears does not own or make Kenmore products. You had a defective microwave and should go after Kenmore - how is Sears responsible?
