The Unicoi County Court System and it's Sheriffs Department have been caught before running scams on citizens. They started a fake fund called the "DUI Fund" in where they would take money paid to the court in fines and put it in a made up and illegal fund. Also, several of the court house workers were making there own fund by just putting fines paid in their pocket and never posting them as paid. So just be warned, if you have to pay a fine or a ticket or court cost in Unicoi County TN make sure to get the receipt and keep it for awhile. Having paid a fine twice now has taught me a lesson.
