If your vet is willing to attest to the fact that this puppy was sick at the time of purchase, contact the District Attorney in your area and the District Attorney where the breeder resides. Advise them you wish to file a complaint against the breeder. Contact the AKC (if that's where the dogs are supposed to be registered) and advise them of the problem you had. Since you are in a different country and the dog was shipped from the US, you might also wish to contact the US Federal Government as well as your Government and advise them this breeder is transporting sick dogs out of her country of residence.

Up Date. November 19/2004 Have not heard back from breeders regarding this matter as stated in her last email. Annalee said I would be contacted this week but I have not heard back from anyone. I emailed her asking if the Lawyer has sent me anything in regards to her telling me that I would be hearing from him and I also asked her if my papers have been sent on the female. She has not replied. She is totally ignoring my email. I have contacted the internet fraud today and also have sent in all my vet reports and payments made to her and copies of her ad that she hasn't made good on to Florida Department Of Agriculture and consumer services. These are the people that enforse the state lemon laws. I did notice that she has changed her Gaurantee now. I took copies also because she is now saying that she only gaurantees GENETIC LIFE THREATENING ILLNESS. People should know that most puppies illness when young is VIRAL. Usually if a dog is going to die of Genetic illness it happens after one year.

i have raised chihuahuas in my home for 14 years and have never had a bad report on any of the pets that i have placed in homes..some buyers have bought up to 5 chihuahuas from me over the years for themselves and relatives. i had an a+ rating from the akc on my adults and facilities when akc routinely checked fla breeders.
rosemary chose to buy two pups to save her money in flight and wanted them flown immediately..betty brought hers to me(and his sister) so i could fly him with one of mine rosemary selected..i did not fly them the week she wanted them-waited one more week as my female show a worm egg in her worm check--
i never send a pup away without a perfect fla health certificate..the pups flew from jax, fla to seattle wash-(also my pups brother flew to california on same flight and one of bettys -a male- flew to oakland calif.)-none of these pups got sick or had any problems..at the time of shipment, i had 4 pups in rosemarys females
litter and and 3 others next door and 3 female pups under 6 months running in and out of the nursey..
i have never had parvo-none of these pups next to rosemarys female have had parvo-none of bettys pups have had parvo and the sister of the rosemary pup that died was sold to a cheryl in jax and it never was ill and never had parvo..my 2 vets/bettys 2 vets/cheryls vet all sent a letter explaining that none of our pups are ill-but rosemarys male got sick 2 days after the flight and the one from me later and another-a golden retriever also got sick???all at her house.
i had a specialist(she also talked with the pathologist in canada) check the vet reports and pathologist report and parvo was negative on bettys pup and mine was never tested for parvo..this rosemary acts as if we ripped her off-no money she says now--well she bought a male chihuahua from another breeder that had points on him and hired a handler to show him on the show circuit--very expensive..
her sister works for the vet and her vet bills sent to us were 3 to 4 times the cost for services here--plus her vet gave a chihuahua pup weighting under 2 lbs 2cc of panacur every 3 hours and while in the hospital-he developed a twisted bowl -canadian pathologist stated " had to have happen while in the vet hospital and that is what killed him"--she also stated that he was not tested for parvo by her as it was not requested.
5 certified vets in fla have all said that betty or i are not responsible for the male pup death. the flight and stress of it probably caused the illness and i believe 2 cc of panacur every 3 hours could have killed him--our 5 vets all said that .02 cc once a day is a lot and that 2cc is 10 times too much--and why 3 times a day?
i have many pups from new york to alaska that have flown/been fine/and their masters are very happy with their pups..i did send the akc papers to her as soon as akc sent them to me-had to order a second set-and rosemary knew this-then she started with i don't know if i want this pup now etc-so i waited to find out for sure she wanted the female pup and then sent them to her..
beware of selling any dogs/pup to her as she wants her pups and money back for everything done to them--she is knows the puppy lemon laws of every state and how to use them..she bought 2 AKC pups flown on one flight -one long coat female and the other a fawn blue male smooth coat for $1200 and wants $1800 back from betty and i. she has reported us to fla agr.dept and this report was done before we even had time to check with our vets. we just found out about this report yesterday--how many more has she done=
she claims she is the victim?? email me if you wish and i can put you in touch with any of our vets and they can tell you about our dogs/pups-- amac chihuahuas and betty

She is a very ignorant person. She has filed a rebuttal and has not one single proof of evidence to back up her lies. First of all I have all the reports and emails of everything that happend over this puppy matter. She is well aware that I did not ask for my puppies to b sent when she sent them. She made flite arrangements and emailed me when they were arriving. (Proof of emails. Second of all, now that I am dealing with reputable breeders that breed to show not to flood the market on breeding only pets for the money, I realize how un educated she really is in animal health issues. She States that my puppies got ill two days after they arrived. Hardly time to come in contact with my 3 year old chihuahua and my one year old Golden that are fully vacinated to have gotten this from me.
Again, I have all my health records for my pets. She also claims that I paid 1200.00 for these dogs and am asking 1800.00 back. Anyone that has any knowledge knows that US funds cost us about 30% more. This makes my money 1800.00 I also have proof of my Western Union receipts. She claims that she had a specialist talk to the pathologist in Canada. This is a lie. I will gladly give the patholigist report to anyone that would like a copy. The patholigist {highly educated in her field} infact did right the report stating that this puppy had Parvo. Again, anyone with any knowledge of dog virus's knows tha Parvo has an incubation period of 5 to 14 days. { Look it up on the internet under vet comments. Also it is unlikely that a puppy over 6 months will ever get this if vaccinated which my dogs are. I also find it very unlikely that 14 years of breeding, she has never had sick puppies. That is a miracle!! This is not what she told me in our hours of conversations. She told me about several dogs that she had taken to some Univercity for tranfussions and admitted to me she replaced a puppy that had Parvo. She also told me that the sister to the male was on medication for a few days and they were together. So again, she is not being honest. Regarding the Vets dosage on the Panacur..
My vet did explain that this was a typo error and I did infact send the daily health records to Betty's vet and my vet also informed that the dosage was point 2cc every three hours for one day and this is because Annalee called my vet and told him to give this mdication because she uses it all the time and it worked on the other ill puppies. I also have proof of Email.
My Veterinarian is Newton Animal Hospital on King George Hwy in Surrey {604} 596 7417. They are a very respectd clinic and most of his clints are breeders that have show dogs and drive up even from Washington to use him. I will be sending her Rebuttal to him bcause I'm sure he will not appreciate her lies. Also she has never provided any proof of anything. I have every email, pictures, vet, patholigy, lab reports to back up all I have said in my rip off report. Annalee also claims that this puppy weighed under two pounds. Would any reputable breeder send a puppy at 8 weeks of age with one vaccine from a hot climate to a cold climate and not think that this would be a stress on them.A reputable breeder will not ship a puppy until it has had at least 2 vaccines, prefer 3 when they are so small.
I have since learned of this. Annalee claims that my sister work at this Vet and this is true. What is she saying, that this reputable Clinic took advantage of their employee and charge me 4 times the cost. I had two puppies in the hospital for over a week and they had the best of care, medications, fluids and to much to mention, Again have proof of all the care that was given to try and pull these puppies through. Call up any Vet and ask them what the cost would be including all the blood panels, lab, stool testing, Iv, meds, for two dogs with Parvo. Most vet's charge about 1200.00 or more for on week. My vet charged 1500.00 for TWO SICK puppies for hospital care for a week. Very cheap! If Annalee has a vet that only charges 400.00 for all this, than I would consider flying my animals out to him. Annalee never contactd the vet that did the health papers on my puppies. I called and asked him why I hadn't heard from him. I wonder why she went to another vet that never even seen these puppies. I have asked Annalee for this specialist name and phone number, but she never gave it to me or my Vet.
Annalee is a good story teller. I would like to see one piece of paper that proves to anyone that she is telling the truth.
I am not out to buy puppies so that I can put my self and my husband through hell. Why would I ever go through any of this if my puppies were so healthy. I have all my vet records showing the health and care that my other dogs are in. My chihuahua boy that is 8 years old, has never been sick a day in his life and we just lost our Rotti last year of a heart attack.
I have no had any sick animals and my puppies came home with us from the Airport and were put in our room alone and were very much loved. You can ask the vet hospital what we sufferd through. The male did not have a bowwel problem from the Panacur, as Annalee claims, he was born with this according to the lab. Betty did replace my money for him after a couple of months and was very nice to deal with. I really like Betty, she is the breeder of the male puppy that died, and has been very reputable. I would recommend someone buying from her. She is very honest in regards to the problems that can arise from breeding these small dogs and has admitted that she will not ship any puppis this young again. She said she never felt good about it in the first place. Betty did offer to send me some of my cost on the vet bill, but because she hasn't alot of money, we agreed to have her send me a female down the road. Betty also liked my new male that I have since purchased so I said I would also send her a puppy from him down th road. Betty knows her dogs and does show. She gave me alot of good advice and I am greatfull to her. The male puppy that Betty bred and gave to Annalee a week before shipping him to me, was extremely nice. She also felt bad for his loss. Annalee never sent any paper work on the female for us where Betty sent a photo copy of the litter registration, along with a birth certificate. I never got my registration papers for the female until I seeked help from the Attorny General. Annalee also claims that I know all the puppy lemon laws in all states. I suggest that she should also learn about them because you are suposed to provide your buyers with a copy. If you look under the puppy lemon laws, it provides all the States for you. A good breeder would not be concerned about them if they are doing everything right.
Annalee, states that I reported her before she even had a chance to go to her vet. This is also a lie. I got my puppies in October and one died within the first week and I never heard a word from her or her vet for over a month. She promised times and never botherd to fall through. Again, I have proof of our emails. She claims she just found out about this report yesterday!!! Annalee, you need to get your facts straight and stop this lying. If you think that we made these puppies sick and die so we could put ourselves through all this heartache and the money we lost, you are pathetic! I have spent 1250.00 US dollars plus another 150.00 to Western Union the funds to you
over night, plus I asked the puppies to come together bcause it would only cost for one fare, but also so they would be together on the plane. It wouldn't make sense to drive 3 hours to pick up one puppy and then a week later do the same thing.
I know I can sleep at nights, can you??? I waited weeks and then months to hear back from you in regards to this matter. You are a lier when your add claims you have a health gaurentee.
You say it but you don't provide it. Also, just because you say...none of the other puppies got ill, mine did. The only one that will ever know how many puppies die at your house is GOD.
You are just a greedy person that wants money for all these puppies you put out. Just seeing all your adds alone on puppyfind.com is proof enough on how many puppies you must sell in a year. You also forgot to mention in your rebuttal, that I am reporting to to the R.I.S along with my receipts and the adds that I have kept of yours letting them know how much money you make on this. If you are reporting this extra business income, you will have no concerns. Yes, I will protect inoccent people such as myself from ripoff breeders such as you.

Laura,
I am the proud owner of an AMAC Chihuahua. I would highly recommend AMAC to anyone who wishes to purchase a beautiful sound AKC registered Chihuahua. When I first received my Duke my vet scared the death out of me saying he had all kinds of problems, such as too large of a molera (soft spot) and bad knees that would need to be surgically repaired. I notified AMAC and she suggested that I take Duke to at least two other vets. I did and low and behold there was NOTHING WRONG WITH DUKE. The first vet. must not have been qualified or had no experience with Chihuahuas. Two other vets examined him thoroughly and stated there was nothing wrong with him. Everyone that sees Duke expresses what a beautiful Chihuahua he is. If I ever purchase another Chihuahua it WILL BE from AMAC Chihuahuas.
I do not see how much more Analee can do for Rosemary she has already seen to it that Betty refund her money for the pup. Puppies can die of many different ailments, which are no fault to their breeder; it is just something that happens. I believe AMAC has done all that she possibly can for Rosemary and all involved should consider this case closed. AMAC has a very good reputation and wonderful loving Chihuahuas.

I would like to say that I purchased a gorgeous little long coat chihuahua from Annalee McPhilomy in Jacksonville Fla.
I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. After speaking on the telephone with Annalee several times and recieving several emails and photos of my Sparkle, I decided to purchase her.
Annalee was very concerned about her flying, so we worked it out that my husband and I would drive to Minneapolis Minnesota so that the little puppy would only have to deal with one take off and landing.
Annalee didn't ship her until she was 12 weeks old which suited me just fine. The puppy's papers came with her along with a *puppy care package* containing a sample of the Eukanuba small breed pet food she was using and tips on training and caring for your new Chihuahua. She also enclosed some of the "Gerber Graduate Turkey Sticks" Yes from your local baby food isle to be used as treats for her.
She called me on my husband's cellular telephone at her own expense several times; first to make sure that the little one arrived and then was alright once we recieved her.
Before I brought my puppy home I found a vet with experience handling and treating Chihuahuas. I did this because of a bad experience I had with a vet who did not have experience with such a small breed. No one can be an expert in all breeds. I had an appointment lined up for her the day after we returned home with her. This would have been on her third day with me. My vet was very impressed with her. He was happy with her disposition, and commented on how nice her confirmation was. He said her knees were excellent, as this can be a cause for concern with the Chihuahua breed. He asked me if I had bathed her after I got her. I told him I hadn't because I didn't want to stress her anymore than she was after her journey and the changes she had just undergone. He then told me how impressed he was that she was *so clean* after a flight. And then he went on to tell me a few horror stories he encountered with other dogs being flown in.
I have to say that my *Sparkle was flown in with the utmost care, and upon recieving her at the cargo counter I was incredibly impressed as well. Other dogs came in from other kennels while we were waiting for her and their's did not look like hers.
Her kennel was padded up the back half and sides with a large piece of felt and had training mats in the front of the kennel. These were all kept in place with packaging tape. The water dish Annalee had put in for her was an empty yogurt container *deeper than the customary little dish that comes with it. This was wired in place on the customary little dish, and the water was frozen so it would melt gradually and not spill out all over during the flight. She even hid a few bits of the little girl's hard dog food amongst the folds of the felt in the back of the kennel in case she got a little hungry, not a meal by any stretch, but Annalee said if she was hungry she'd nose through and find them. She also told me she was not supposed to send any food with her at all according to airline rules, but she was concerned more with Sparkles' comfort. She also had one of the toys that she played with most at Annalee's place. It was well worn and used, and a source of comfort for the puppy. She still plays with it today. That was over a year ago now and I have to say that everyone who meets my Sparkle wants one of their own. They all tell me they can't belive what a wonderful temperment she has, how outgoing and friendly she is for such a little dog. She is definitley not like any of the Chihuahuas they had met in the past. She wrestles with the Chihuaua male I got just before I got her from another breeder.... (another good experience for me) and my 100 pound German Sheperd. She may also make it into the show ring because a friend of mine who handles just asked me last week if I would be interested in showing her because of her excellent confirmation.
I'm sorry if anyone has a bad experience with any pet at any time. I just thought it fair that I tell people of my experience dealing with Annalee. I am more than happy with her and would recommend her to my friends.

I have bought two pups from Annalee. The first on January 21st 2003. He was a perfect puppy, healthy and happy. He died in a car accident and when I contacted Annalee asking for a sibling, she called me to let me know a litter would be born soon. When this litter was born she called and let me have pick of the litter and also gave me a big discount on the pup of my choice.
When the day came for his flight she called me with the info and said that the airport would call her if there was a possibility of him having to stay overnight. They called her and she picked him back up, she doesn't want any of her pups staying overnoght in a kennel. This happened three days in a row. On the third day the airline did not call her, they called me and said my puppy missed his flight and had to be kenneled and I was being billed for $210.00/per night. I called Annalee and told her what happened, she called the airline and pitched a fit. Because she had it in writing that she was to be called if there was any possibility of one of her pups having to be kenneled she was to be called to pick them up, they did not call so she fought them on this and the airline had to pay the kennel charge.
When I finally recieved my pup on November 11, 2005, he was in perfect condition. He came with all his papers and health certificates, puppy care kit, toy, food and water. She had also put heat strips in the crate so he would be warm along with a paper nest and a blanket. He also came with his favorite toy. I brought him to the vet the day after I got him. My vet says he is perfectly healthy and a very good show prospect. His brother was also.
During these three days of the airline mishap, Annalee called me about 15 times, and a couple of times the calls lasted a few hours, all these calls she paid for. When I am ready for another Chihuahua I will call Annalee. I recommend her to anyone looking for a Chihuahua. Both my pups were happy, friendly and very healthy.

I have not said anything about Annalee McPhilomy from Amac Chihuahuas since this nightmare happened over a year 1/2 ago.
I have better things to do with my time and life to be wasting it on a Puppy Mill. I am pleased to know that out of the hundreds of puppies that you have sold alone on puppy find that there are a few healthy ones.
I would like everyone to know that before you take her word on what she is saying to give me a call or email me aT rsoehn@dccnet.com and I will send all the proof of my terrible nightmares that Annalee has given me. Let it me known that I received an email out of the blue from her telling me that she has contacted her lawyer do to me slandering her. Once again I repeat I have not spoke to her or of her since this awefull experience with her and have no intentions of wasting my time on her. In my opinion she is not reputable at all as a breeder but just a puppy producer. Don't be fooled by her ad as a person that shows her dogs. How many dogs has she shown compared to the amount of puppies she has bred and sold?? Check with AKC as to how many puppies this woman has registerd.
Annalee is the biggest liar that I have ever known. She is now claiming that I am showing one of her dogs!!! I would love for her to show me the proof on that lie! Yes it is true that I still own our one puppy that survived Parvo from her because we do not run a puppy mill and purchase our dogs as pets first and we love her very much, but this female has never and will never be shown because she is by far not show quality. She has some good lines behind her and some good features that if bred selectively could perhaps produce something nice. This female has not only been shown, but has never been bred.
To Annalee... Before you start making up stories which you seem to very good at... put the proof where your mouth is.
I would like to know where you came up with this big lie about me showing your dog!!!! PLEASE PROVIDE PROOF. Proof is easy to provide for everyshow has a catalog and entries listed.
You better stop with your lies.

I DO NOT CARE TO TAKE YOU TO COURT--BUT THIS HAS TO STOP AND YOU NEED TO TELL THE TRUTH--THE PUP DID NOT COME FROM ME-- I DID NOT SELL THE PUP TO YOU...AND THAT THE PERSON WHO DID PAID YOU FOR THE PUP--IN FULL... THAT IS THE TRUTH..

Rosemari,
I too am a proud owner of an AMAC chihuahua. This began near 11/04? I can hardly stand here and watch you continually insult and dare AMAC to prove what she does not need to prove. She has some of the most well rounded chi babies in this state. I took 2years to choose a female, and made many contacts (in many of the United States) before I found her. I have many trips to North FL & sit and talked with her and observed her adults and pups. I am VERY pleased with my chi. I could not ask for a more healthy, happy, wonderful little chi. Taking your anger out on an AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB breeder/kennel, like AMAC's Chi's, is not accomplishing anything. Her babies are her to stay. This is what has been proven. Thanks to anyone who has read this far down, into this nonsense, for your time and attention. I have nothing more to say. Kd ... Florida

I am an owner of two chihuahua's from Amac chihuahua's. One dog is from Annalee and the other is from Ms. Betty. I have been to Annalee's house, and seen her house and all her loved chihuahua's. Her establishment is wonderful and she is a wonderful breeder. I have not met Ms. Betty but my dog from her is tiny, breedable and a wonderful disposition. I got BigDaddy Blue (my sire) from Annalee. I have had both dogs for several years.
I plan on buying my next long hair female from her because I know I will always get a wonderful dog and she is very honest. If I have questions about anything I can call her which she takes the time to help me. I am a teacher too but I did not know her before I bought my chihuahua. There are buyers out there that want to blame the Breeder when we have done everything that is required and often have gone way beyond the call of duty.
I want everyone to know how honest, sincere, and knowledgable Ms. Mac is with her business. There are always risks when shipping puppies. I can assure you the puppies did not have Parvo before leaving her home. If that was the case then about 50 chi's would be dead. Ms. Mac has many pets and has kept every dog she has ever owned. She has all her retired breeding dogs, and many she has rescued. She is a serious chihuahua lover. I am sorry Ms. Mac this report was made on you. It's funny because I bought my first chi from her around the time this report was made. I was surfing the net and ran across this site. I just had to respond because I know she is one of the best breeders in Florida. I have bought from many breeders (I have 5 chi's and a boxer) and none had the quality, color, and size as good as Ms. Mac.

She will rip you off on more than dogs. She has tried repeatedly to charge back for dog figures she bought from me, to my disbelief a week after she SIGNED for the package. She is rude, and harassing threatning and not all that bright. I sincerely believe that she would do puppymill stratagies and she has no ethics. Email me for the unpleasantness I have endured for nearly THREE MONTHS.

I feel terrible that Rosemary experienced the loss of her pet as I'm sure all of us do.
I am a very proud owner of a male chi that I gor from Betty/Amac. My chi is now 3 years old and ti this day, I have been able to contact Amac with any questions I've ever had pertaining to my chi. My chi experienced an unfortunate injury (not at all related to breeding) and through it all, Amac was there for me. She is a caring person that loves animals.
Sometimes things just happen and there is no one to blame. My chi had been to the vet the day before he took his flight from FL to RI - I have the paperwork. When he showed up, he was on the flight with 4 other dogs. Because of this, he ended up being covered with fleas. This wasn't Amac's fault! When animals are flown together, they can catch things simply from the passenger pups. Luckily a quick bath solved the issue. I called Amac to tell her that he arrived safely and from then on she's been a person that I consider to be a great friend in helping me raise my chihuahua and address all my concerns I've ever had.
Rosemary, your situation is very sad. But I urge you to think about the way you are portraying such a great person. My dog is one of the most beautful chihuahuas and I receive so many compliments on him. When the time comes that I need another - or if I know someone that wants one- I intend to call Amac first.
To everyone out there considering purchasing from Amac....keep in mind that you can't please everyone and I'm sure that if Amac wasn't attacked like she was...she would have been more willing to help this person.
Sincerely,
Proud Mommy of Rosco in RI

My name is Jennifer, and I have known AMAC for a few years now. I have two beautiful Chihuahuas, and if it wasn't for the help of AMAC, I would not have one of them.
I met AMAC when I brought my Chihuahua, Raven to a meet-up. AMAC always brings some of her dogs to the meet-up, and I always have a good time petting and playing with them. I have gone over to her house before, and she takes very good care of all of her babies. You can tell she loves them all very much, and she is a responsible breeder. She never breeds more than 2 dogs around the same time. This keeps the numbers of litters down to a manageable number.
Last year, my husband and I have some friends who lost their home and had to move in with relatives. They could not take their Chihuahua, Angel with them, so we took in Angel until they could find a place of their own. We realized about a month after we had Angel that she had not been spayed, and we expressed an interest in breeding her. AMAC was very helpful to us, and let us breed Angel with one of her males. Angel had two beautiful puppies on January 25, 2011- one boy and one girl. My husband and I found a loving home for the boy, but decided to keep the girl (we named her Chloe). Today, Chloe is healthy and thriving. Angel has gone back to live with her parents since they now have a home of their own. We miss Angel, but we will always have a part of Angel in little Chloe. And it was with AMAC's help that we have Chloe.
Not only does AMAC breed Chihuahua's but she also rescues them and finds good homes for the ones that she rescues. This lady that has been saying bad stuff about AMAC does not know her and needs to stop doing this to her.
I hope others will read this and realize what a wonderful person AMAC is. If you are looking for a Chihuahua, I highly recommend AMAC!
