AP9*SHOPPINGESSEAP9 Shopping Essential submitted an unauthorized charge to my bank account Internet Connecticut

After reviewing my bank account on line, I discovered a charge of $14.95 was was put through on my account on 11/5/07. I then sent an email to my bank requesting information on that charge. My bank informed me that it was a check card purchase from AP9 Shopping Essential in CT. The transaction occurred at 9:33am ET on 11/3/07.

I obtained two telephone numbers to AP9 from my bank, 888 243 6180 or 877 581 0181. I did call and speak to a person who advised me that I made that purchase. I advised I was not on the internet at all on 11/3 and that I had not made any purchases with my check card for over a week. He then informed me that I must have clicked on an add off of Restaurant.com and thats how the purchase was made. Again, I explained I did not authorize any such purchase and was not on line on 11/3/07. I was then told that my account would be credited within 2 days.

Please note that I made a purchase at Restaurant.com at the 1st of October 2007. Somehow, that purchase linked me to AP9. I dont know if AP9 is a part of Restaurant.com or if Restaurant.com sold my information. I do not see how this could have been a legal transaction.
