Charismatic young men go door to door selling magazine subscriptions, using high pressure sales techniques. They present themselves as students working their way through college by selling magazine subscriptions.

They ask that you write 2 separate checks, each made out to "cash", and totalling $24.95 for subscription to magazines from a list that they provide.

I ordered FOOD AND WINE magazine, and paid them in full on Feb 5, 2002. After what I considered to be sufficient time to process this subscription, I attempted to call the number on the receipt. (949-460-4119) A recorded message instructs the caller to submit inquiries in writing.

I have still received no response from them. What can be done?
