Multiple phone call using Terror attacks, filthy lanquage, yelling, screaming while trying to collect a "theft identity" situation that occurred over 20 years ago with a credit card someone used in a name similar to mine. There are hundreds of people with my same name. CAPITAL ACQUISITIONS AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY of Illinois or Camco or Cam.Co does not have a web site. They refuse to answer my questions during a phone conversation. They purchase old past due accounts and try to collect bad debts. Bad credit from another person with my name added to my credit reports are impossible to remove. Credit reporting companies don't care. Cam.co or Camco.
They stated: "We have your Social Security number, your address, your phone number and we know everything there is to know about you & we will collect this debt even if we have to pursue it in court". I informed them that it was not my debt & I never owned one of those credit cards. All they did was shout obscenities about the debt back to me and refused to listen. I informed them that if they know so much about me that they could contact me by mail in the future & NOT TO EVER call my phone number again to collect a debt.
EVERYONE should file complaints if you are contacted by this unprofessional company who tries to put the fear of God in you EVEN WHEN you tell them it is not a debt you have ever made.
It even has a sample letter to download for validating the debt and I would recommend adding to that certified letter this statement;
“Please accept this letter as notice that you are not to contact me via telephone and may only contact me in writing in connection with this matter. Pursuant to the federal law, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, you may not contact me via the telephone once I have notified you not to do so."
