Chase Manhattan Mortgage Hounded for 3 years, for 2 months behind, Foreclosure threats, not 1 payment missed, kept $4,000 at refinance time. Ripoff San Diego California

My Husband and I made faithful payments to Chase Manhatten mortgage for 11years. We started getting letters starting inFeb. 2003 to May 2006 every month saying we were two months behind. Please pay or foreclosure... I called them, which is a pain in the ... They said they didn't know why we were getting these letters. Well they continued month after month I called again, fearing the foreclosure threat. The person I had talked to was no longer there, and they said Pay up!! Well I didn't. I had proof of payment except for TWO months my husband had paid with a money order. Please don't pay with money orders, there is'nt proof. We refinanced this May and they kept FOUR thousand dollars. This is stealing!! A BIG ripoff..Always get a mortgage in your home town. We did. But 4 grand poorer.
