Columbia Telecommunicaions Group Inc Rebate Ripoff Farmingdale New York

Like many other customers I purchased a Columbia GMRS/FRS radio from my local CompUSA store in Orlando, Florida on about 7/5/2003. I sent in the rebate with the required paperwork to the listed address of "columbia offer #13935. P.O. Box 821 New Rochelle, NY 10802-0821.
On or about 10/15/2003, I called the 1-800-390-2344 - TCA Company and www.whereismyrebate.com. I was told that my rebate was approved and the check would be sent on October 23, 2003. On November 17, 2003 I checked the www.whereismyrebate site and it did not list my rebate anymore. The Entry Had Been REMOVED. I called the 1-800-390-2344 phone number and was told that my rebate flaged & "I should have received a e-mail".

It appears to me that these folks at TCA are withholding rebates and moving the money to the defaulted rebate account for company retention. I never received a e-mail. It appears that they will take into account that many people will not call them on this entry removal scam.

So be warned, Columbia Telecommunicaions Group, Inc has contracted with a dishonest fulfillment orginization.
Beware of the magic vanishing rebate trick. Do not buy any product from Columbia Telecommunications Group, Inc.
