Norm,
It is quite suprising to me that you chacterize my report as an "Attack". First of all, I didn't attack anyone. As I said in my report, I simply told people to BEWARE. "As far as I can tell..." was what I said. If you and Wayne are truly (and I'm not sayin you aren't)interested in helping all these ripped off people, you shouldn't all all be suprised if we are extremely skepitcal. The research I did says that there are NO assets to be had. Just think about this, guys, why would anyone WANT to spend $1,200 plus dollars on a case that probably won't generate any cash for the victims?
AFter talking to some other Pantheon victims, to my lawyer, and to the special assitant district attorny in Florida, it is my opinion that what we should do is find a lawyer that is willing to take on the case based on a contigency not on a retainer. This is very common. If a credibile attorney looks at case and deems that there is assets to be had and are recoverable, he/she would be more likely to take the case and maybe except a 20 to 30 percent rider. This is done all the time. The problem with PAG's proposal is simple.
First, the deadline. I'm just telling you that Pantheon victims are SICK of "deadlines". That's how we all got ripped off in the first place. Second, if the attorney you are suggesting we use can't get any money back, he has nothingn on the line. He makes (if only half the victims pay him) almost $500,000 with no risk to him. This is not going to fly. I understand that $1200 is a small price to pay IF we actually get our money back, but I would much rather give this attorney 25% of anything he recovers for me then shell out another $1200 on a bleak picture. Doesn't that make sense??
Furthermore, Wayne didn't come off to me as completely credible. I asked him for the group's addresses and phone numbers... but gave me only his business number. You and the other person never responded. You have our addresses, why can't we have yours? Also, when asked you gave him the list for Patheon victims (or buyers), Wayne was very vague. Maybe for good reason, but still it sends up red flags!
If you guys really want to help us, full disclosure is needed.
