I attended a FashionRock event December 2004. I paid $1200 to stand in line!!! Minimum spent in line was 2 hours!!! Missed every single workshop scheduled.(Some were cancelled last minute by the way). We missed meals just standing in line.
There was nobody to answer any questions. We were left to figure things out by ourselves. I will never go to one of their conventions again!! I'm still making payments to pay off that worthless weekend!

Trust me! Don't go to FashionRock!! There was only about 20 agents there, and at the call backs the only thing that happens is you give them your picture!! You can spend a lot less by just sending your headshots to your local talent agencies. You only spend money on stamps. And you can go on a vacation for a lot less and actually have time to go outside, instead of standing in line all day.
I regret ever going to FashionRock. I could have used that money to buy myself a car (an old on, but still).
If you have "it" you don't need a convention to prove that. Just send in your pictures to local agencies. If they are interested they will call you. If they don't call keep trying. Don't let someone (FashionRock)tell you that the only way to "meet" agents is to attend their convention.
Did I mention that I was outside for only 10 minutes from the time I checked in to the time the "luxury rides" shuttle picked me up to take me to the airport? Yep, standing in line all day waiting to register!!! And standing in line to audition. And standing in line to eat. Trust me you will not like the experience. The only thing that was alright was the Friday night concert, but would you pay $1200 to go to a concert?? I don't think so.

Hi. I was at the fashion rock you speak of... you are right on all accounts. but you say that you are still paying.. so was I, I closed my bank account, and got a new one and fashion rock has attempted once to contact me on the situation. I proptly hung up and they called back moments later and left a message on my machine to contact them (yeah right, like Im gonna do that) since then I aint heard from them. I not telling you that this is the best method, but it seems to work for me and a few other individuals. Save your money and get that car. I saved my money and bought christmas. Either way a fat man got my money. (he he)
