I signed up for the 10 day trail period but realized that the information on their site wasn't useful to me. I sent an email on 7/2/07 to cancel ASAP which was within the trail period. I noticed $49.95 was taken from my credit card on 7/7/07. I sent another email on 7/9 after noticing the charge stating that they need to return my money & to let me know why it was never cancelled as previously requested. I received an email on 7/11/07 stating that my policy was cancelled as of 7/11/07 which was outside the trial period which was not the date requested. I feel as if they deliberately cancelled it as of the wrong date to justify keeping my money. I called to complain & was told to send proof of cancellation. I mailed a copy of both emails to corporate in Las Vegas but heard nothing back from them even though I requested notification & included all my contact information.

I called back to check the status of my refund & was told that the timeframe is outside the refund policy period of 7 days from the transaction date. This refund policy doesn't apply because they were at fault for not cancelling the policy as requested & I specifically stated to cancel on 7/2 & didn't authorize any further charges. I kept my part of the agreement & did everything correct including following the procedures for cancellation within trial period.

This company is doing bad business. They are shady & coming across as if they are a government based business. When I tried asked for a number for corporate I was told that they can only be reached by mail which is incorrect because every company has a contact number. They don't want anyone to be able to call corporate to complain, etc. I was advised to send another letter but I doubt if they will respond to the second since they never responded to the first one.

Federal Grant Network Complaint Resolution

AUTHOR: Yoyo - Knoxville (U.S.A.)

After Federal Grant Network declined to give me my refund. I contacted my credit card company to report the transaction as unauthorized. The credit card company was going to do their own investigation. I faxed all proof I had to my credit card company along with copies of other reports on ripoff report.com about this company & the waiting game began. In the meantime, I sent another letter this time by certified mail to Federal Grants Network explaining that the representative processed my cancellation on the wrong date outside the trail period & the company was liable for the mistake. I again requested my refund & included all of my documentation. I was prepared to take it to the highest level available even going to Las Vegas, NV to take action (I figure I needed a vacation after all of this). To my surprise I received a letter from my credit card company informing me that Federal Grants Network had refunded me all of my money and the investigation was over. I'm not sure if it was my certified letter or the investigation from my credit card company that reversed their decision but I'm glad it's over. I learned a big lesson. I'll now research a company & check for any ripoff reports prior to making any transactions.
