I got caught with this scam, then I read your report. This is an on-line pharmacy that has prices too good to be true. I figured, why not, and began to order a medication. In no section did I see that there was a $19.95 monthly membership fee charged automatically to your card. There was an up-front, $19.95, non-refundable processing fee, but for the discount on the meds and "free" FedX shipping, this non-refundable fee seemed worth it.

Just don't select the box at the bottom that says something as inoccuous as "next", because if you hit that button, you're automatically and irrevocably, it seems, a Subscriber for the rest of your life! Nor did the Terms and Conditions of Membership appear anywhere, which read like something from a nightmare.

Example: #6 states that if you "fraudulently" report your credit card lost or stolen, the one you've used in conjunction with payment to Universalrxfl.com, you will be liable to Universalrxfl.com for liquidated dames of $25,000.00! I'm not kidding!

How ironic that they use the word "fraud" in conjunction with pulling your credit card out of their grasp. Just unbelievable.

Number 7: "Your liability for such charges shall continue after termination of your membership for any reason."

#11: "The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Materials and all services provided by Company is borne by you."

#13: "Any liability of Company, including . . . tortuous behavior . . . shall be strictly limited to the amount of membership fee paid . . . for the preceding month." ie. $19.95. (One wonders when this "tortuous behavior" will kick in and what it consists of. The scare I got was torture enough, believe me.)

#20: "The application of the United Nations Convention of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded."

These terms of agreement never appeared anywhere on the Internet page I was stupidly filling out with my credit card number. All I did was click "next," and the scam began.

The $19.95 was almost instantaneously debited from my account. Consumer, beware!

Contact Credit Card Company

Call your credit card company, cancel your card, and dispute the amount. The company will automatically charge you a monthly fee. I called to cancel, then called back and asked if my account was still opened and they said yes, so that's when I called my credit card company.

G & G Services, aka all the rest, now has a new scam they just tried to work on me over the phone under one, possibly two new names: Quality Resources and Preferred Shoppers. It seems they're still out in Florida. Listen up:

I immediately cancelled the VISA charge card that G & G Services used to fraudulently charge me the $19.95 I refer to above. Since it was linked to my personal checking account, I had to cancel that, too. I'm lucky I'm so far only in the hole $19.95, and yes I followed the editor of RipOffReport's advice and immediatly contacted my bank. They put through a fraudulent transaction for the $19.95, although I'm still waiting to hear from the bank.

I got a phone call today at work. It appears I was lucky enough to be eligible for $40 in gasoline vouchers at gas stations of my choice, and I'd be receiving an envelope in the mail in two weeks with these vouchers and other discounts. Then, if I want to continue with the services, I'd only be charged $19.95 a month to my VISA.

And, GET THIS, they had the last four digets of the VISA account I cancelled! The VISA I originally put through to Directrxdiscount.com aka aka aka aka. The VISA where they originally scammed me $19.95 around 5/6/05! I hung up on them. But first, I found out they call themselves QUALITY RESOURCES in Florida and they gave me a phone of 727-712-0382. There's a recorded message when you call saying it's Quality Resources and that's about it. When I asked, they said they were representing a vendor called PREFERRED SHOPPERS. If you look up Preferred Shoppers on ripoffreport.com, you'll find a gentleman who was ripped off $19.95 by PREFERRED SHOPPERS EDGE. I think they're one and the same.

Is there no stopping of these criminals? I'm going to contact the attorney general of Florida and make a complaint. Also to the local police in Cooper City, Florida.

I would like to let the person(s), allegedly stating that Quality Resources and/or Preferred Shoppers Edge, know that this is NOT another name for the G&G Services, or any of the following: Universalrxfl.com - DrugsForCost.com - Card33 that offers prescriptions for drugs or anything of the sort.

Allow me to explain.....
I have worked for Quality Resources for well over two (2) years and we are a Marketing Company contacting consumers that have purchased something either on the TV, in a catalog, or even perhaps over the internet.

We DO NOT charge, nor do we bill anything to anyone's credit card. We use the last (4) four digits as an identifier to allow the consumer to know which particular credit card we are speaking about from which the previous purchase was made.

We are marketing a program called Preferred Shoppers Egde, in which a consumer, if used, could save up to 50% off of Dining, Shopping, Entertainment and much more. Also, they do receive a certificate for $40 worth of gas vouchers as an incentive to try and utilize the savings of this program.

When a sales rep contacts a consumer by phone, he/she DOES NOT know what purchase was made by the consumer, nor do they know when the purchase was made. However, the consumer may write-in to our company to find-out where their information was provided from.

Our company goes to all efforts to provide outstanding customer service and we will be glad to provide our physical street address for those who want to know more, NOT a PO BOX.

I called Quality Resources at the phone number I was given to "cancel at anytime". I was told that they do not have a physical address to write to and they can't tell me how they got my credit card info. I cancelled the card.

When u give them the permission to take one dollar your also giving them permission to bill your card. The 1 dollar pays the sales rep for the getting the sale as well. Simply putting if you don't want to be charged for the promotion package just say no. the first dollar is billed within 1-5 days. Once you do this you bought the package. Yes you can cancel at anytime. But you still bought the package.

Cold Calling??

My cell phone rang this morning, and I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the phone number, which was 727-712-0382. I ran the number through Google and found this site.

I've never had any dealings with the company that called me at all, ever.

I guess my question, and perhaps "Linda" can answer this, is why do you expect a phone call to a cell phone, of someone who's never even heard of your company, to result in a sale?

Moreover, how do you go about securing the cell phone numbers that you call?

I thik it's funny as H*ll that some people have a job so pitiful that it requires selling drugs to people they have to cold-call on cell phones.

Get a real job...
