I also got scammed by the Golden Harvest Co. I gave them my $99 and in 4 days I got a list of 6 lenders (none of which would EVER give me a loan).

I sent in to get a refund, along with my decline letters from all 6 lenders.

It's been almost 2 months and I haven't heard a word - imagine that!

BUT the story gets better..

About 2 weeks ago, while eating dinner , I get a phone call (out of the blue) stating that I HAD been approved for a $15,000 loan. I almost fell out of my chair.

The lady on the phone stated that she was from First Federal Lending Group.

She said my loan would be for 5 years at $280.00 a month. The thing that SHOULD'VE thrown up a red flag (but didn't) was that she needed a $810.00 (good faith) deposit.

I sent this lady (via MoneyGram) $810.00. THANK GOD this dollar amount threw up a red flag to the office at Moneygram.

They said anytime you send that kind of money to a PERSON, not a COMPANY, there is a flag.

The lady at FFLG had me send the money to a women (which I should've figured something didn't seem right) but I really needed the money.

GET THIS, IT WAS IN CANADA..
So, not only are these people getting the $99 from people, they are now trying to get bigger dollar amounts from unsuspesting suckers!

I ended up getting my $810 from Moneygram , but I'm still out the $99.

I guess it's a lesson learned. Don't trust anyone..

not us

AUTHOR: Dave - Dallas (U.S.A.)

We don't collect phone numbers on ANY of our forms. So, this lender who called you got your number from some other website you gave it to.

We tell our clients all the time that collecting
money UPFRONT from a lender is ILLEGAL. IF this person had done their homework, they wouldn't have sent a $810 money order! Always pay by credit card. Any legitimate lender would allow any fees to come out of the loan amount!

People, please use your common sense!

PS> This person did not send in all six
decline notices. Therefore her refund was
not approved.
