This company has also threatened foreclosure with me. I have read the reports from other consumers, my story is identical to many of them. I have had to be on several re-payment plans, and each time the payments go up, for late fee charges, etc. I also have had no one who is helpful and kind.
I have reported them to the BBB in California and MN. I will continue to write letters to Congress to make this company fall flat on it's face. Whatever happened to customer courtesy? If anyone has addresses or any other information that would be useful, please e-mail me.

You state that you have been on numerous repayment plans with HomEq. Have you completed the plans or broken them due to failure to pay? As a former employee, I assure you that completing the plan is absolutely neccessary to help correct your situation. Foreclosure is something that only happens after failure to pay for a long period of time.
If you have completed the plans and are still having issues, request to speak with a Supervisor for further assistance. WIth things like Escrow and ARM loans, it's possible that monthly payments will occasionally go up over the course of the plan, causing an additional amount to be paid at the end. It's an unfortunate thing, but something that isn't very easy to predict months in advance.
One thing that I am seeing on here are comments that seem to suggest that by simply paying SOMETHING, you should be held out of foreclosure. HomEq, as a company, does not accept partial payments...so that does not work. Credit cards and home mortgages are completely different things.
Note to the author: I'm not accusing you of this, I'm just making a statement based on some things I've seen.
