I saw a commercial in t.v., that could made my dream about my invention came true, so I contacted this company invent-tech and I was attended by John Lakatis, project director.
John Lakatis urge me to start the next step which was to send the 1st payment to start: US $895 + $15 SH.on July 15 2004.
This person made me believed that my invention was something it's going to happen. He was so persuasive and insistent calling me day and night day after day telling me that a lot of people was interesting in my project. "congratulations on your decision to move ahead with the development of your new product idea".
As soon as the got my money, they send me a letter explaining about procedures and methods to finish the invention research portfolio. That was a "Agreement" which cover: patent, graphics, trade show presentation , license and other staff that I never got and what that I was required to pay US $8950 in August 2004.
The only paper that I got was the U.S. document Program which I could did myself and that only cost $10.
I was so exciting about my project but all the phone calls suddenly banish and I was the one who's calling about my project . I started to get a bunch of papers to mail by myself introducing my product and press release . I send a lot of those and nothing happened .
I tried to contact John Lakatis but he never answer my phone calls , always somebody else did, and they kept sending me same thing: papers to mail to companies who had nothing to do with my project. So I decided to go to this office located in 2655 Lejeune Road , suite 550 coral Gables FL. It was an empty suite, and it was just a receptionist who told me they only attended people by appointment.
At that point I realized this is a ripoff because is not office, no people, to respond questions face to face. He pictured me a big company with too many departments with too many people: lawyers, designers, etc.
They never proof to me if my project was expose in a shows , they never gave me an answer, neither what they did with my money, what happened with my idea... The only thing that I got from them after I paid a total of US $9860 was papers to mail to nobody .
This was my experience about how I loose all my savings believing in this company invent-tech who took advantage of my invention.
I still waiting for anybody can make something against this kind of people. I'm sure I'm not alone but how many people has to fall in this situation? There is some authority that can investigate . After 3 years I wonder if I can have my money back .
