Recently I read a blog that stated the following:
"If you take
advantage of this offer within the next 72 hours, you can get the iCAP™
Release System for not $2,395.00… but… the almost too good to be true
deal
of just $1,495.00. That’s saving you $900 off the retail price!" 2007 -
It was from a guy named Peter. It reminded me of the shock last year
when the same offer came in my mail box from Larry
Crane with the warning that the iCap was returning to its MSRP above.
Last
year an email offer arrived from the CEO of the Release Technique
(.com), one of several approaches to a powerful and natural method
developed in 1952 by Lester Levenson (a self-made millionaire and
physicist/engineer) with the ultimate goal of self-realization. The
urgent email notice by Release Tech. announced that the iCap Release
Meter (a portable dry EEG device invented by an ingenious Silicone
Valley
engineer)
was returning from its street price to the original MSRP and that only
a few days remained to save $900 per unit! This was a mass mailing to
subscribers using the method. Several high pressure emails followed
warning of this last chance opportunity and diminishing stock. I called
the iCap CEO/inventor, himself, who integrates the Release Technique
audio into the system, and he had heard nothing about it. When the
deadline arrived no price change occurred at www.releasetechnique.com.
The Release Technique, itself, is well endorsed and I chose it for its
succinct methodology.
The staff at Release Technique offer
sincere support and wish their clients to advance. I have noticed great
improvements at their site. Maybe incidents such as the above will be a
thing of the past. I would recommend readers to get CD's or go to
internet video sites offering lessons by Lester Levenson, himself. Even
light use of Levenson's method cannot but improve your life. He is a
master teacher. There is also www.sedona.com and Hale Dwoskin seems
extremely competent, sensitive and understanding.
To conclude,
a general comment. Community Psychologists have long known the damaging
effects to individuals and society by huge discrepancies between
idealized and realized solutions. Where are the NEGATIVE statics in
mass marketing of self-improvement plans? The bulk of money made by
offering the road to wealth and health surely comes from the vast
majority of clients who never carry through even if the method and
broad offerings be ethical and sound in the first place. It is too
common that people become wealthy by the promise, even through
suggestion, of wealth to others.
