I have tried to cancel my account with Leaders for months after they kept charging me dormant fees, monthly fees, surcharges, etc. I told them I was a new business trying to make it, so they lowered my monthly rate, but the fees for the credit card charges were increased and if I did not have any credit card charges for any month, I was charged an additional dormancy fee.
I spoke to Dan Cable, and when I told him I wanted to cancel because I could not afford the fees, he said they already renewed my account, charged me the $99.00 annual fee, and it was non-refundable! I said I wanted a refund and he said my contract requires that I send a cancellation notice in writing 30 days prior, and since I only verbally told them (3 times) that I was not going to renew, I could still cancel, but the $99.00 was still not going to be refunded.
I told him that was unacceptable and I couldn't afford it, and he said, "Why don't you just close your business then?" I slammed the phone down and called again and asked a customer service rep who the Head Honcho was.
He is Dave Winkler- so I wrote him a nasty letter to PO Box 1911 Camarillo, Ca. 93011.
I think everyone should send him a letter and share their experience with him! He should be flooded with negative mail and CC copies to the Attorney General of your State and the State of California!
