I find it funny there's been no rebuttal for me. I recieved a letter dated 10-10-05 after 1st payment made through midwest savers of 50 dollars, more than our agreement. The letter from sterling and king saying that if the account wasn't brought current that I would be forced to pay the full amount.

There was a payment of 50 dollars made on 9-26-05 which means the account was current. Then another payment was made 10-21-05 so thats not even a month later. My payments were on time just like we had agreed and now they are forcing full payment for the rest of the balance sounds like breach of contract to me.

Another word the so called contract you can't cancel out of I never signed up for their services on a lifetime basis so how do you get out of being billed an extra hundred dollars a yr for the rest of your life because it states you have to pay 100 a yr for membership renewal if I remember correctly.

I'm paying for something I can't and won't use due to the problems that have risen. I've given them around 600 dollars and never used the service. And to the lady who didn't save any money I'm pretty sure they said if you don't save as much as you invested in the first yr then they have to pay you your membership fee. Check into it. I know I wish they would send me a copy of the contract.

You need to call back.

AUTHOR: Stacy - Hammond (U.S.A.)

If you call and ask for a copy of you contract, one will be sent to you, I do this all the time, it's very simple to operate a xerox machine. You are not obligated to the $100 per year, that is completely optional. Your account will simply be inactive until the renewal is paid, and it does not accrue. During this inactive status you are able to make price requests and use the catalogs. The only thing you cannot do is make purchases until the renewal is paid. I cannot comment too much on the payments as I do not know your member number and cannot look at your account. Noone's payment is $50 unless there is an agreement made with the accountant because of extinuating circumstances.

Therefore you are not making a full payment. If you had your payment reduced, then you would need to call, and we could tell you exactly why your account went to collections. If you were already in collections, we are not authorized to take payments unless it is the full amount owed. You account is sent to collections when we do not receive a payment for four months. After that time, your account is property of Sterling and King. If you do not use the service, of course you are not saving money. You signed a contract that bound you to a financial obligation.

If you could not meet this obligation, you should not have signed. You initialed next to a statement that reads "I/we agree that I/we were not in any manner "high pressured" or coerced by Midwest Savers to purchase said membership and further attest that this purchase presents no undue financial burden." When you recieve a copy of your contract, please read it carefully. Everything is thouroughly explained, and if you need clarification we'll be happy to help you.
