OAN Services, Oanweb.com/ Directory Billing Svc Bogus USDirectory charges on my Verizon bill Internet

I too have unknown / unauthorized charges by this company under the "Other Providers" section of my Verizon phone bill. These charges are for "Yellow Page USDirectory Billing MthFee" of $49.95 plus the city tax of $2.50 for a total of $52.45. I am a small business owner and I have my yellow page advertising contract, as well as the billing, from the company I advertise with and it isn't this company!

I had never even heard of this OAN Services, Inc. before, but have learned quite a bit in the last hour (of internet searching) about their less than reputable billing practices.

I have tried calling both of the phone numbers they list on the bill, but am never put through to anyone. I reach an automated voice system that sounds legitimate, but then am left on the endless hold. Their website listed on the bill provides no useful information.

I will be contacting Verizon by phone tomorrow, followed by a letter, advising that I am not paying these bogus charges, nor do I ever want to see this company on my bills again. I will also contact the BBB and send letters to my state representatives.

I just wonder how many individuals and businesses end up paying these bogus charges because they do not take the time to srutinize their bills. Shame on you OAN Services, Inc. Can't run a successful legitimate business, so you make money by defrauding people. How pathetic.
