Ocwen is charging a higher service fee for filing electonically than paying by check. If you pay by check they hold the check until you are overdue and then rack on a late fee. They are consantly calling our home, demanding payments, even if we had just made a payment and are current.
New Century Morgage sold our note to Ocwen, so we are dealing with a company that we never signed papers with.

Read your mortgage docs

Ocwen is charging a higher service fee for filing electonically than paying by check. - Response - It's called check by phone or by email and yes they charge. That's how they make some of their millions off people like you that pay their mortgages late and then try to time them out to arrive just before the late fee assesses to the account.

If you pay by check they hold the check until you are overdue and then rack on a late fee. - Response - Incorrect. Ocwen is responsible to investors that threaten - "If you don't get the majority of my interest payments collected before the late fee due date, we will switch servicing companies." It's silly to say Ocwen holds your mortgage payment for a 25 late fee when 90+% of your payment is interest that feeds lenders and Ocwens management team. Lenders want your interest on money loaned, late fees are pennies compared to interest payments. Most if not all lenders will post you payment asap so that interest is realized.

They are consantly calling our home, demanding payments, even if we had just made a payment and are current. - Response - Your info here is telling me that you don't pay your mortgage on time. Simple, send your payment in before it's due date or Ocwen has the right to call to find out where it is. You are current when your payment is posted on it's due date

New Century Morgage sold our note to Ocwen, so we are dealing with a company that we never signed papers with. - So far this is the only piece of info you have correct but again out of context. IF you had read your mortgage docs, you would have come across a page that says New Century sells 100% of it's loans to servicing agencies. New Century loans money, they don't service them. Here's the best part - you gave NC permission to sell your loan when you signed, but since you didn't read, you don't know.

Call a lender in your area and ask questions to clarify what you don't have a clue about
