I didn't know what was going on with my account. It started showing amounts coming out for $49.95 and I had no idea what it was. Calling the bank, they told me to contact the company using the toll free number that they displayed on my checking account. (866-407-1028) On 7-18-07, I called and talked to someone three/four weeks straight. His name was Chris and then he was asking on the first ring telling me the first time I called that it was my fault. I pursued the conversation telling him that was a lie and I had absolutely no idea who they were.
I never talked to anyone from their company, even after he said I ordered products back in Jan/Feb time frame. I told him that was a lie also, because I was unemployed and didn't have the money to order anything. Then he proceeded to tell me, I was one of many caught up between them and a previous company that they bought out. He told me to call back in a week and they would have been replaced my money by then.
Well you know the story, after three weeks of callling and talking w/ this Chris person, I got nowhere. Finally the last time I spoke with him he said, many people were calling with the same complaint and they were behind getting refunds back.
Well today, I called again, 9-4-07 after talking with my bank. This time the phone goes to an automatic machine and you stay on hold until the call disconnects, when you call back it's busy. When you finally do get thru it puts you on hold about twenty minutes, with a lady saying one of their experts will be right w/ you. Noone comes on the line. It continues to hang up.
Well the outcome of this whole scenario is, my account is seriously overdrawn and messed up because of the constant dibs into my account. Now I have to clean up the mess and pay the overdraft of almost $400 to make my account current. Is this fair to consumers or what? It may be safer to keep money at home in your own safe. If anyone else is a victim to On Target Government Grants, please file a complaint and let people know what to look out for. They are a ripoff!
