Walking down the street and was approached by two men in white van who claimed to work for Precision Sound Designs in Addison, IL. Said they had the great fortune of getting a few extra pairs of Theater Research TR-2800 home theater speaker towers.

These guys said that the speakers were worth 2,000 dollars each. Even had a magazine that they had picked up from Barnes and Noble. I paid them 500 dollars in cash and found out on the web a little later that the whole thing in a scam.

The speakers actually aren't worth much of anything and are cheaply made. This is a scam that will rob you of your hard earned money.

Yeah, the MF got me too. He was a white male, early 30's, 5'6" 170lbs. driving a silver/gray late model Ford Explorer with a California License plate no.# 5BEK898 and went by the name Mark. I was pumping gas and he pulls up beside me in an all fired hurry, and says he has to meet his boss in an hour, but if he sells this overstock first, than he can make an extra buck, I get a heck of a good deal and the boss man will never even know he had the overstock, so he won't even account for it. every thing was brand new and up opened, with catalogs showing how much his boss had paid for this "overstock". 5,500 dollars, but he would take the risk and let me have it for only 800. Wow what a deal. I checked it out and everything appeared to be really high end stuff, but I was unfamiliar w/ the brand, so I offered him 675.00 cash. He gave me the same bit about having to buy him a beer, next time I saw him down at the beach. We'll I raced home excited about my great deal, hooked it up and it sounds like crap. worse than audiovox. Then I tried to find the name brand online, and this page was all I got. I hope I do see this mother fu*#er again, cause I'm gonna take 675.00 back out of his ass.
