my mother recieved a letter from r.b.m financial services stating she had picked the winning numbers in some kind of lottery there was a check for 4,500 dollars to pay for the non resident tax before she would recieve 250.000 dollars and to deposit the 4,500 check into her bank account well the bank investigated the check and told her that is was phoney we did our own investigation and the tax money check was going to be forwarded to a place called corvette country in texas? the check looked real but it was not i think its some kind of money laundering scam these people need to be delt with i called this company to ask what was up and the promotions manager john garfield hung up the phone total scam!!!

As an employee of Corvette Country, I'd like to take the time to make it clear that we are also victims of this scam, not perpetrators. We are the victims of Identity theft, and our account information has been used to create the fraudulent checks that have been sent out as part of this scam.
Our company lost money before our bank's fraud department realized what was happening and we have lost countless hours answering phone calls, responding to emails and writing letters that have nothing to do with our business. Corvette Country is a used car dealership specializing in Chevy Corvettes and other Sports cars, and we are not involved with any sort of lottery or prize drawings.
We offer our sympathy to those who have fallen victim of this scam. Please feel free to contact us if you wish to exchange any further information.
