I moved to california a year ago in October. As i was shopping in santa monica i was approached by one of starpower managements "talent scouts" who took down my name and number and said they would contact me to come in for an interview. So i waited around a week or so. they finally called and i went and met bruce edwin, signed a contract (wow what a stupid move that was). I didnt have any headshots, so he sent me to his photographer and said he didnt recommend it would be smart for me to find my own photographer because it was "stupid and too time consuming for him". Then after i accept his offer to go to his photographer he tells me i have to pay $750 in 2 days, which includes the pictures AND printing, so i borrowed money from my parents, went to his office and paid him in cash because he told me thats all he can accept. (a load of bull if you ask me, cash is not traceable). So he then proceeded to "make an appointment" with his photographer, Micheal Mordler who also had his own makep up artist, Brea Bailey. I show up to my appointment at Micheal Mordler's house, where he does all his photoshoots apparently, I get my make up and hair done, very poorly if you ask me, my pictures were taken and i went home. the next day Bruce Edwin calls me and tells me i owe him $750 MORE dollars for printing the pictures. I refused to pay it and went down to his office to speak with him about this because in the contract it CLEARLY stated the $750 i previously paid to him was for the photoshoot AND printing of the pictures. He refused to reason with me and show me my headshots, and told me he was going to sue me if i didnt pay him the money. I didnt have $750 so he offered me a scouting job but i refused the job and left his office. that was the last time i saw Bruce Edwin in person. For about 2-3 months after he harrassed me, emails and phone calls, threatening me that he was going to sue me and "take my ass to court". so i just gave all the emails to my father, who is now trying to "take his ass to court" haha.
Now to make the story even better... Today 11-13-07, one of my friends sent me an email with a link attached. My photos and headshots, that i have NEVER seen, were manipulated on a pop up ad for a porn site. it wasnt my body but my face. I was devastated, and still am.
So i am writing this hoping that many people will read it and never sign with this man or this company. He is a horrible person. I would never want this to happen to anyone else, but im sure it will.
This experience has made me lose my dream of becoming an actress or a model.

#1 Owner of Company

Internet libel

AUTHOR: Bruce Edwin - Santa Monica (U.S.A.)

Starpower Management publicly states today that it has strong reason to believe that a woman by the name of Tayler Blood has today made libelous, false statements about its company on a certain website, that her images have not been given to any entity by Starpower Management, and that her photos are at the same photographer's studio that she chose to shoot with of her own volition.

Starpower Management suggests that any model and talent agency, producer, director, any employer, academic institution, or the like, seriously look at Ms. Blood's actions
in dealing with their company prior to their consideration in working with her.
