On 03/10/05, I attended a “seminar†in Wading River, New York for Storesonline where deceptive marketing were used to make you believe you are purchasing a product to make substantial cash flow which a salesperson or shall I say "consultant" (that's what they called themselves at the workshop) does verbally.
The following promises were made and implied.
- You will start seeing income before you 1st finance payment is due, but you must buy six websites to do this.
- Testimonials that you be making substantial cash.
- This would be your only change to buy these websites and you must do it now.
- You are told at the Seminar you are buying businesses to pass down to your children.
- You are told Storesonline would build the websites for you and hold your hand while helping you find drop shippers and joint ventures.
- You are told that the tools offer in the packet will be all you need to build the businesses.
- Do it yourself software that is easy to use or “again†you can have Storesonline build for you which they can do within 15 - 20 business days.
- They sell you a tax package for $200 and tell you that the tax company will set-up in business.
- Excellent Customer Support.
- Let Storesonline do for you - they are expert web building and marketers.
What you find out when you get home with your package and start using the tools and so called “trainingâ€.
- DVDs which will take you over a week to go through and contain inadequate training.
- Sign on to Merchant Services and try to download the tutorials - impossible.
- You get a call from the Tax company requesting additional fees to help you set-up in business.
- The ECI set-up for$999 is useless if you don't have the credit background. Storesonline does not disclose this information.
- Inadequate resources for finding drop shippers and joint ventures - I found them on the internet with no help from Storesonline.
- Deficient software - you don't realize this until after the 3 day refund policy is up because you must go through DVDs, pages and pages of useless information, you found a drop shipper and start uploading the text and pictures yourself unsuccessfully because the software is faulty, your trying to get support from Storesonline and getting inadequate answers (a customer service operator that does not have any experience with software and says “that what they told us to sayâ€) and then you realize you need to be a computer programmer to use this software - I believe the software is defective.
- Ended up downloading onto discs all 123 product pictures, cutting and pasting text and mailing it to them with all necessary forms.
- Receive e-mail from Storesonline saying the where back up and could not open my discs (really?) and informed me that a programmer will be assigned in 15 - 20 business days. Contacted them extremely upset that a programmer was not assign yet and receive hostile customer service.
- They know if you can't build the websites in one year they get additional fees - quite the incentive to stall website productions.
- Requested refund and have been denied.
All I have received from Storesonline are nasty condescending e-mails from so-called Customer Relations person (Ms. Silva)Have given my work and home number to Ms. Silva who has promised she would called - she has still not. More stall tactics?
All Storesonline is capable of is selling faulty overpriced software and ensnaring their customer into spending more money. This has negatively affect my credit and may have affect my ability to qualify for certain jobs. I am a single mother who needs to provide for my family and Storesonline took advantage of my position.
