I own a collection agency. I got a letter from this company for a settlement offer on a T-Mobil bill. I called and a collector got on the phone. I told her I dispute the bill. She put me on hold after telling me I need to speak to her supervisor. About 3 minutes later, a man gets on the phone, immediatly says "get an attorney, we are going to sue you" and hung up on me. Well, since I own a collection agency and I am in compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. This man was Nuts!!!

I called back asked for the Supervisor and was on hold for 8 minutes. This man came one the line claiming to be Michael Miller and started rambling that he had 27 yrs experience in the third party collection business and he does seminars for ACA Internantional and that he will put it on my credit and to sue him. I could not get a word in edgewise.

I am a good debt collector but this man had me up against a wall!! Not once did he ever stay in compliance. This communication is coming from a debt collector, the mini miranda, never asked what the problem or if I wanted to take care of the bill ? If this collection agency is allowed to do business this way, its a very scary thing for other collection agencies. You dont get a bill paid with Irrate threats. I would like to file a law suit for violating my rights.
