United Collections Bureau - UCB Harassing Daughter Toledo Ohio

Evidently my mothers debt is being handled by this company. Three days ago I received a message on my answering machine from a lady saying that the call for Candice (which is me) regarding my mother. She left a number and and a muffled message asking me to call her back, so I did. When I called I spoke to Mr. Miller and was informed that they could not speak to me without my mothers authorization. So I asked why did they call me if they couldn't speak to me. To make a long story short I find out that call was an attempt to track my mother down in order to collect on a debt. I informed them that my mother did not live with me and they had no right to call and ask me for any information regarding her and told them not to call and harass me any more. The next day Mrs. Bailey called this time asking for my mother. After telling her very politely again that this was not my mothers house I stated again for them not to call me and that I would not give them any information about her. Well this morning they called AGAIN and yet another Mrs. Bailey was calling. I told her that I had already told 2 people that my mother did not live with me and I would not give them any info. She said that it was no where in the file that they had even spoken to me. I told her that now she had and to put it in the file not to call. Four hours later another person called and as soon as I said hello the woman started yelling at me to speak to "Rose". I told her a fourth time that she did not live here and that if she wanted to collect then she should speak to my mother and not her daughter. She continued to scream at me and demanded that I give her a number. Are these people completely stupid? Why on earth would I help them harass my mother? This is the United States for goodness sakes! Who gives them the right to harass children (whether they are adults or not) for their parents debt. Luckily I my mother-in-law is a lawyer and if this continues we will file a suit against them, and for now on I will be recording all conversations with them.
