UTP Digital Directories, Internet Business Guide Rip-off!They sent a Pro Forma invoice about a service, requesting payment for $960! Sulgen, Switzerland

Our Accounts Payable Dept. has recently received an invoice from the UTP company regarding Online Publishing. They appear to be making a introductory offer of $960 to provide some online listing services. They ask you to pay the fee, plus provide them with your contact information.

This doesn't appear as a scam, and seems legit. But to an accounting department, they may not know the difference, and assume the serverices are being rendered. Instead you are only paying for a service to list your company info on a public site.
This type of scam is known as pro forma invoicing and can be expensive.
