I purchased some items at Vista Print and gave them my MasterCard bank card number etc. I received the merchandise, which was satisfactory.

About 3 weeks later I saw two charges to my checking account; $14.95 for Todays Escapes and $14.95 for Vista Print Rewards. I called Vista Print Rewards first and they agreed to cancel the "Subscription" they say I had agreed to (there is NO WAY). Since both charges were on the same day, for the same amount, I suspected there was a relationship (Duh). I asked the Vista Print Rewards person about Todays Escape and she said they manage that also and would do the same for that "Subscription". I was advised I would receive an email verifying all this.

I then called Vista Print and got an answering service somewhere in the Caribbean, asked for a supervisor. I was connected with Mellisa who looked into it and informed me that the accounts had been cancelled and a refund issued.

When I received the emails from Todays Escape and VistaPrint rewards, there was no mention of a refund, just the cancellations. I called Melissa back and ask her why there was no mention of a refund. She told me she had put through the refund personally (which means it hadn't been done, as promised, by the first person I talked to) and that I would receive it in the next couple of days.

I advised Melissa that I was going to file a dispute through MasterCard, for which they would be charged $25 (standard procedure). Mellisa advised me that I would be the one to pay the dispute fee, if I "took it upon myself" to file the dispute.

Obviously, I would strongly recommend never ordering anything from Vista Print, even if they're giving it away, which they often do. They appear to be operating a series of scams that often go on for protracted periods until noticed and cancelled. From what I've read, in this situation, they only give partial, if any, refunds.

It will interesting to see if I actually get my 30 bucks back...
