In June of 2002 I signed up for one year for $89.95 at http://personals.yahoo.com/ and never used it. I let it expire thinking that would be the end of it. In June of 2003 I found a charge for $89.95 on my credit card for another year! I was not contacted for authorization. If I had not seen this charge on my Discover statement, I never would have had any notice I was still even a member.

I called the number on my credit card statement 1-866-458-8744 and was told that the contract I agreed to stated that it would automatically renew unless they were contacted to stop it! I pleaded and begged but they would not budge on issueing a refund. They said since they are now aware I don't want to be renewed next June, 2004, they will not charge me again but they will not send me a letter or even an e-mail confirming that they won't bill my credit card again. To be safe, I'm going to cancel this credit card.

I am very upset as I have been laid off at my job and have not found work yet. Can you please help me? I contested it on my credit card but they said Yahoo Personals has done this to other people and they were not able to get the charges dropped so according to Discover, I'm stuck with this $89.95 charge.

Its auto billing click on order and see the deals one is per month for $19.95 a month another is 6 months for a little less per month billed in one go, the other for a year for a little less per month again billed in one go...

What is very clear all are recurring payments cancel if you do not want service to repeat it states it very clearly.

I always order one month then cancel the next day it will expire service at end of 4 weeks and will not re-bill.
