The more I investigat the more I find out how creditors are criminals. I had only one credit card in my life Bank Of Marin Visa. I canceled it in 2002 in 2006 it came on my credit report so I paid it off. With LVNV Funding ,Resurgent Capital Services handled the account. The previous creditor who had the accont was Compucredit. The loan was Factoring Company acount.
Well it was paid off April 19, 2006. Here in 2009 I receieve my credit report 02/082009 I see a debt reported by MCM "Midland Credit Management" for Bank Of Marin in a higher amount . Loan company: Factoring Company account and with a new account number. I have made numerous attempts through phone calls, sending verification letters and proof of payment to MCM, The Credit bureaus. MCM Claims that it is a another accunt that this debt is for visa the other was for Mastercard. I only had one credit card, A visa. So I paid for a card I do not own? Or did they make up a new card? It is their fault for messing up their records or ilegally missuse of peoples SS numbers. I only had one card it was canceled , paid off and the account was closed in 2006.
MCM people are rude and criminals. They tried to tell me they are helping me to clear my credit WHAT? They say they bought the account from Atlantic. I never heard of Atlantic , never was sent a bill from them, and never had their report on my credit reports. And what is even stranger is that when I spoke to somone at MCM a month ago they claimed they got the account from LVNV funding...? Well after dealing with 3 nasty calls with them. I decided to try to find Bank Of Marin on the net. I call them they tell me it is The First National Bank .. of Marin not Bank Of Marin that has done this . After speaking to Mrs Jones I find out that others have gone through the same thing.
So The First International Bank Of Marin was a small bank who relocated to Las Vegas and started scamming people with fake credit card accounts to get money from them.
So she gives me the number she found on the net. I call and it cuts off after the first ring. There is no way to reach The First natonal Bank of Marin.
I have reported MCM to the BBB, FTC, and AG now I will report TFNBOM as well....
I reported this to the fair credit report and now have a local lawyer to take this case for me.
WT ?? I cant be believe this.....
