I just discovered that I have a couple charges on my debit card from allowing a friend to use it to download the "Catch Him and Keep Him" e-book. She swears she called them to cancel any further charges and yet here they are. In my Internet search, I've found a telephone number and email address, though the fax number came from my bank statement.

I have used alot of my work time trying to track this information down before a 3rd charge is made to my account. As another person who's been unemployed for nearly a year and a single mom to a 2 year old, I can't afford to allow this to continue. I haven't received a doggone thing and other than the e-book, neither has my friend.

I've left a voicemail, sent a fax and now an email. I have to go to my bank to file dispute charges and have them issue a Stop Payment Permanently order. I found a back door from my Internet search: apparently Christian and someone named David DeAngelo share IT support in Las Vegas. I left a cryptic message asking for a call back from 888-244-3323 and a cheerful fellow did call me back. He has forwarded my concerns to Denise and Whitney who are involved in CHKH's operations. If I hear anything back, I will definitely update my post.

I'm very unhappy - more so as I find more complaints on the Internet about this company. Additionally, I'm remembering feeling hesitant to let my friend use my card for this, so now I'm really feeling like an idiot for not trusting my gut.

Christian Carter - my bad!

I was contacted in less than 3 hours following my frantic first attempts to reach them by phone, fax and email. I WAS AT FAULT! I misinterpreted my bank statements and am pleased to report that this was a non-issue, in most aspects. I should not have been charged the original $19.97 but a credit was posted nearly a month later. My hat is off to Christine of Christian Carter's operation for her fine customer service. That said, I will continue to be leery about e-book purchases and allowing friends to use my debit card. My friend has since gotten a pre-paid credit card, which I was unaware of, so at least I have learned something new.
