Clout Visa Screwed me and keep on screwing me Madison Washington

Like the reports I have heard earlier, I was a freshman and I had just turned 18 and I got a call in my dorm room by a some woman who had a jamacian accent. She did a small survey and then asked me if I wanted to apply for a clout visa credit card. I specifically told her no because I had no source of income other than scholarships. She kept on insisting on my information so I told her no so we ended the phone call.

She calls me like 2 weeks later still pressuring me for the credit card so I hung up in her face, she called back so I hung up and unplugged the phone. Later that day I plugged my phone back in. Thats was December but January the calls came again, so I finally gave in because I wanted to end the calls.

I got my credit card and I didn't use it for 3 weeks got a call asking why I didnt use it yet. I finally use the card for an emergency to pay my phone bill because it was over due. School let out for the summer and I went back home, but I already applied for change of address on the internet.

I didnt receive any bills until Late June saying I was delinquent and I owed over $800. I called the a customer service rep and told her about my address change and she was very rude and said that she was going to put a refusal to pay on my account, I then asked for her name and information and she just hung up in my face.

I dont feel that this is my fault, their system failed to update my account and when I try to clarify it with them and I get disrespected like that.

I am taking responsibility for the money that I used but however I feel that I should not have to pay no overages and collection attorney fees just because this company did not want to comply with me.

I will be in contact with the FTC for advice on what I should do about the law violations that was committed especially concerning Fair Business Practices.
