- I received two envelopes with DVDs of an old TV movie in the mail.  I had no idea why I received them.  I'm still not sure. 
- I googled the company who sent the DVDs, Comm Services, and found a few other people complaining that their bank account had been charged $9.95 for a DVD they never ordered.  I checked my own account and found 2 separate charges of $9.95 for the DVDs.
- I called my bank and filed a complaint.
- I also called the listed phone# and was greeted by a 24/7 answering service.  They promised to refund the money if I gave them the last 4-digits of my card#.  I declined.  They said my bank could take care of it for me.  That's my plan as of now.

How did I get roped into this mess?  I'm not sure.  On the days of the Comm Services charges there are no similar other charges, so I don't think it came from forgetting to opt-out of the offer during some online purchase.  Any ideas?

Last week my bank refunded the money.  It said that they had ruled preliminarily in my favor, but I'm fairly certain it's over and done with.
