First Gold Plus is by far the most scandalous company I have ever come across in my life.
Jan. 3rd 2012 a charge for $59.95 was taken out of my checking account unlawfully.  I noticed this and called First Gold Plus on Jan. 6th. 

I spoke to a guy by the name of Irvin, he informed me that I applied for a pay day loan and this is why they charged me for the auto sign up service of First Gold Plus.  First of all I am self employed and I never applied for a pay day loan.  Irvin after trying to fight me decided to give me a full refund...at least that's what I thought !!!

Irvin informed me on Jan 6th that it takes up to 14 BUSINESS days to receive a refund, that's 3 weeks! But I agreed because I had no reason to not trust him he seemed very apologetic.

I called Jan. 26th (14 business days later) Irvin answered the phone again (are there no other inbound reps?) He said he didn't know what the hold up was so I asked to speak to his manager.  Let me tell you that was a waste of time.

I spoke to Irvin's manager by the name of Curtis.  Curtis informed me that they did put a cancellation request in to the billing department but there was some sort of delay because his system was down.  So I asked to speak with the billing department.  He informed me they don't have any other phone numbers available and he contacts them through inner office mail. WTF really?

I asked for the corporate office number in Cape Coral FL he said there wasn't a number for them just the mailing address and an email address. Shady but ok Then I asked why if the office is in Florida then why does the operator give times open for Pacific Standard Time?  Curtis slipped up and admitted they were in San Diego.

If you notice on other ripoff complaints, the ones who have fake success replies are all in California which is an indication that they are fake.  Ok moving right along...

Curtis told me on the 26th to call back in 24hrs and he would have information for me.  I called back again Friday Jan. 27th and the phone number was offline (kept saying unable to connect at this time) I thought it was my cell so I tried from a friend's phone and from my hotel phone since I was on a business trip.  Same thing the number was off line.  Ok my thought was they have shut down and went out of business.

I was just trying to handle the situation myself and give them a chance.  Monday Jan 30th and Tuesday jan 31st the phone number was offline so that is when I called the BBB. 

Wed. Feb 1st I called the number and it finally worked, and to no surprise Irvin answered the phone.  I asked him why I keep getting him he says because I call the most (really? how would a system know who I am) I asked for an update he said that their system is down no internet connection and no inter office. 

I demanded to speak with Curtis and told him that I was recording the call...shocker, Curtis refused to get on the phone.  The next day (Feb 2nd) I called and Irvin answered once again no updates. I spoke with Curtis and even offered to drive to San Diego since my business trip at the time was about 45 minutes away from them.  Curtis said he would get in touch with billing again.

Friday Feb. 3rd the phone number was offline... Monday the 6th they told me they spoke to a Cory Gautereaux from billing and I would have a refund by Tuesday (they never gave me a date) so I said this tuesday they responded "there is no date so i won't say tomorrow but I will just say it will be Tuesday"

I get a response this morning (Feb 7th) from BBB and First Gold told them they refunded my money in full !!!!!  I still have not received a refund and their 855 number once again is offline !!!

This seems to be a 2 man operation probably in someone's house in San Diego California.  The Florida address I had checked out and it is just a building with a few mail boxes.  Still have not received a refund or even so much as a return email.

DON'T fall for this...FIRST GOLD PLUS is definitely a scam.

I am not sure why my name is included in this as I have nothing to do with this gentleman's situation. I do not work for the company mentioned. i work for the company that provides the processing for them and issues refunds on their behalf. It is our policy that refunds are sent via check and take 21 business days. The refund for this account was already issued. This person does not have any right to include my name in this as i have not spoken to him until today via email and after the fact. i have advised him already to remove me from this post. If he has an issue with FGP he has every right to make a complaint, but he has zero right to include me in it as i was not even aware of his situation until today, 2/7/12.
