GE Money Bank, Wal Mart Dont' expect to get anywhere with the customer service department if your giftcard is stolen! Internet

I purchased a "Visa Giftcard" from WalMart and it was stolen. I still had the receipt and filed a police report. The police are needing to know if there are transactions.  So I call the number on the receipt to report the giftcard stolen..I get absolutely no where. So I called Visa-they tell me that I need to contact "GE Money" who is the manufacturer of these particular cards. 1-866-396-8254. From there I was referred to 1-877-294-7880. From there, 1-888-537-5503. From there, 1-877-965-7848, From there1-877-937-4098, and yes, from there 1-866-611-1148.  With all of these numbers I have found that they are wanting the actual gift card "number" now that is a problem when it has been stolen. hello???  I have contacted Visa again and they have advised that I speak with GE Money again "through" Visa.  They sat on hold for 37 minutes waiting for a customer service representative from GE Money.  I am blown away that "Visa" would allow this type of service to be associated with such a well recognized name around the world.  I will never purchase another "Walmart Visa Gift Card" ever again. O, also if you don't use the card in a timely manner they take the money away in "fees".  Don't waste your money on these anymore. I hope you do not have to suffer through what i have endured for the last 2 days.
