To Whom It May Concern:

The following company, owned by "Lou Ryan (619) 296-1801, lou.ryan@selfhelpworks.com is a third party vendor that obtains credit card information illegally upon completion of an online order with http://www.lipozene.com/. Even if you click the option NOT to sign up for any additional services, or if you cancel your order prior to actually submitting it, the company http://www.selfhelpworks.com/ obtains your account information and begins charging monthly fees ranging from $19.95-$24.95 for a service it never tells you about. Lipozene knows NOTHING about this - they are not in a partnership with this company. this company steals your information and then claims that you chose to sign up for a "self-help" group online. This is preposterous!! When you contact the company at (619)296-1881, no one will tell you the name of the company or where they are located. The list of complaints is astronomical and the BBB has listed this company with an "F" rating. I am in the process of disputing $124.95 on a credit card that I have not used in years, with a zero balance, other than what this company has stolen fraudulently.

My hope is that folks in our area will hear of this scam and avoid dealing with this company, if at all possible. I have been told for 2 weeks that my refund has been processed; however, it still hasn't. Each time I call the company, I am told that the previous person I spoke with is no longer with the company or that they have no knowledge of an employee by that name. It is so incredibly frustrating to feel this violated, and to have to close an account I have had for years, all because a third party vendor decides to be unethical in how they choose to make money. It should be a crime to operate a company in the United States of America under such shady practices.

Thank you for your time and I hope that I have helped even one person avoid this nightmare.

We the consumers suffer

I have been very good about watching my checking out.  So I see this charge and not know what it is i had to wait until the charge actually posted to my account.  But after much research it does correspond with this report.  I have never ordered this product that they are talking about.  It can be purchase in stores for the same amount.  It just pisses me off to see things like this happening to people who live pay check to pay check and we are the ones that have to suffer for this.  it will take me 7 - 10 business days to get this resolved.

"Lipozene knows NOTHING about this - they are not in a partnership with this company."

   If you're making a secure credit card transaction with the Lipozene site, the only way your card info can get to a third party is if the Lipozene site passes it to them.  The only other way your info could get out is if the Lipozene site is not secured and is being hacked.   Either way, you should stay away from it.
