This place is complete b.s. They are a scam and i realize this now because what i was told by the sales rep was not what i got. I paid $199 for nothing. Now i know they put my information out on Google but its not really my business but some made up name and address that doesn't even belong to me. I will not condone this type of marketing because i run Google adwords and local places as our marketing campaign. With places you can't just make up some address in a city that your really not in. When i called to cancel this the rep tried to make me stay with them with his b.s. and when i refused and wanted my money back he told me i would have to wait for approval from the higher up management. This is complete nonsense. I want everyone to know that this company is a complete scam and don't do business with them.

#1 Employee

Really?

AUTHOR: Jay walker - Temecula (U.S.A.)

This is a disgruntled employee who was let go because of a poor work ethic. He was actually texting his girlfriend all day long. Anyone who has any sense whatsoever knows that you can't commit credit card fraud these days.. The banks and Credit Card companies go out of their way to protect the consumer, Sorry, but you are going to have to do a little better if you are going to fool a business owner!

Employee or not, his report is dead on

AUTHOR: Owen Sechrist - Millersville (United States of America)

The original complaint is quite accurate whether the person is a disgruntled former employee or not.

The Call Store does put company information on a free Google Local/Places listing.  They create a fictitious listing but use your business address.  After you sign up Google will send you a postcard with a 4 digit PIN number to verify a new listing at your address.

The Call Store then expects you to turn this PIN over to them so they can complete their bogus listing.  This is in direct violation of Google Quality Guidelines.

While Google has no restriction on the number of businesses that can be listed out of one business address they expect each of them to be a unique business.

Having a third party create a bogus listing at your address so you can get more calls to the business you already have there is an extremely not good idea.

Unfortunately many folks who wouldn't understand this are both getting ripped by The Call Store and risking getting their Google places listing penalized if Google catches on to the black hat practice they are inadvertently using.  This is the whole point of the PIN number Google sends to your address, it is to verify that the listing created was created by YOU!

Turn them over to someone else at your own risk.

Incidentally I gave a sales rep my credit card info on the phone with the understanding it was pursuant to a contract I had to sign being sent via email.

I never signed the contract or turned the PIN over to them, but I'm still fighting to get my $399 back even though I never signed their agreement.
