I have been a customer of Capital One for approx 3 years accually with no problems until now. I wanted to pay by account in full and close my credit card with them as there interest rate is like 14% and my other cards are like 7.9 and 12.0 but anyway I went online paid in full 408.00 called to close account and thought all was well. Well for some reasonI think because of reading all the reports here I just went to make sure my account was closed, What a suprise It wasnt and there was a balance of 2.98 I called to question this and If I hadnt looked I would of been messed up. The said it was interest from Jan 7-Jan30 at which time I paid in full my payment wasnt due until Feb 10 am I missing something here If I pay in full prior to due date why is there intrest all I can say is Capital one is no longer in my pocket I guess the dont want good paying customers

I have been trying to close this account for 2 months I have paid in full in Jan had a $2 + bal in feb paid it in full as soon as I seen it and today is march 5 my account is still open with a 0 Bal. And get this I recieved a change of terms notice today where they say they are increasing everyones apr to 22.9% I have been a customer of capital one for about 3 years and never ever been close to going over the limit and I have never ever been late on my payment and I always pay at least double my payment . The only reason Im reporting this here is so everyone will keep an eye out for this My account in 0 bal and I am closeing that account I hope others are able to do this also I know with people out of work they wont be as lucky as me to pay off and close .I think capital one is really the lowest of low for doing people this way when things are as bad as they are. every one need to contact there senitor and see if they will get the tarp money back from capital one O YES CAPITAL ONE IN NOT IN MY POCKET I have cut it up !!!!!!!!
