Capital One Finance charge causes overlimit fee - Capital One Scores millions from consumers with this ripoff Salt Lake City, Richmond, VA Nationwide

It is a simple as this: My credit card account was not overlimit until Capital One posted the finance charge. I just found out today. The finance charge alone caused a $29.00 overlimit fee. I called their customer service, which is now ran out of India. They advised me that they recently changed their policy and now the interest charge causes overlimit fees; that it did not before. I know this because I have been close on my limit and it never did this before. They did not clearly warn the consumers on the web at the credit card home page that I access regularly. They claimed they sent me an email. I'll bet on this last billing cycle Capital One made millions, possibly billions of dollars on this ripoff-scam. They advised me to have my wife call and beg to have it removed as she is the main card holder. Please - all consumers ripoffed with this scam battle back. This really sucks.

This is one of MANY tricks CapitalOne has up its sleeves to get billions (not millions) in all sorts of assorted fees from its customers.
CapitalOne specializes in giving low limit cards which never get credit line increases...but they send you a flood of offers for more $500 limit cards....The purpose? If you max out on two or three low limit cards they get to charge multiple late and over the limit fees....smart huh?

I have 2 Capital One Credit Cards and BOTH have been given credit limit increases without me asking. We've also been offered unsecured personal loans for $10 and $15K and not had any problems with the loan(s). Recently, they DECREASED the interest rate on my husbands card since we have such good credit with them and other card companies.
You should never "max out" or come that close to "maxing out" your credit cards for this very reason! If you want to use your card, know the current amount available and add in the estimated monthly interest and then use less than what is left if you have to get that close!
