CHASE CREDIT CARD SERVICES DECEPTION AND UNFAIR ARE COSTING US BIG $$$$$ WILMINGTON Delaware

Beware of this company!!!!!!!!!!

We were offered a 2.99% interest rate a few years back in addition to a very high credit line ($10,000). We took advantage of this and bought furniture. We expected the rate to go up after the introductary rate ended. It went to 14%. Now for no reason they raised it to 29.99%. They claim that it is because of the debt to income ratio. I asked where they were able to find out our income? They gave me no answer. Why would a company treat a good customer this way? We were never late always paid more than the minimum.. None of our other credit cards went up. So we are now paying $200. per month in interest. We are not in a position to get another high limit card approval to do a transfer or pay the card off. The customer service dept. employees are rude on the phone, always seem to give me answers that they are reading from the answer list. No thought goes into a reply.

This is a trap that we fell into. I was shocked to see that there are so many of the same complaints on record on this site and many others. Not long ago, 29.99% was illegal

I welcome any ideas...
