Clout Visa harassed then dissapeared now collectors are calling Madison Wisconsin

I got my Clout Visa in August or September of 2002, my Freshman year of college. It had a 600 dollar limit. I used maybe 350 of that limit for groceries in a pinch and a couple of christmas gifts. I paid the payments but continued to get letters saying they weren't receiving them or that I was over my limit.

The company then dissapeared. Now I have a debt collection agency called pace financial services taking payments on behalf of the company but I can't find them online anywhere, just an investment firm. I was looking for the number to tell them that I was going to mail my payment because it makes me apprehensive to continue to let them take it out of my account but now I'm calling my bank and telling them not to let it go through at all until this is settled.
