Number one, I dont know who you are, but if you would have taken the time to read the 50 some odd OTHER similar reports about this company, you would realize there is a little more than he said she said going on here. I too firmly believe that it was completely my fault for getting behind on my credit card.
My fiance and I both got laid off at the same time and because i took the advice of the individual signing me up, I took advantage of their so called insurance. Which states that if I were to lose my job, there was protection and they would make my monthly payment.
I quickly took advantage of this because im trying to improve my credit. Well, surprise surprise after trying to set this up, i never received the paperwork, and accrued late fees anyway. So, I called them back. The representative the first time told me they sent it to the wrong address. I said what do you mean the wrong address, I only have one adress on file. She said your address isnt xxxx xxx xx xx? I said uh, no. Idont understand how this address mysteriously showed up in my account, I have never heard this address before, and I have been receiving my monthly statement, so its kinda funny i never received the paperwork your company said they would send. Oh, look at that, i accrued a late fee imagine that. Im sorry about that mam, I will send a packet to the correct address and you should receive it within 7 - 10 business days..
How many wanna take a bet on whether or not I received that packet? Not only did it not come in 7-10 business days, I never received it at all!! I waited two and a half weeks before calling back. The representative told me there was no record of the last girl i talked to, and didn't even apologize!! I asked her after asking to send it AGAIN, what's in this so-called insurance package anyway? Her response was i dont know, can i put you on hold? Then, she hung up on me!!!! I called back AGAIN, waited on hold for twenty mins, only for my phone call to be mysteriously disconnected again.
At this time, I was going to work, and didn't have time tocall again for the third time on the same day within the same hour. Two days later, i received the settlement offer in the mail.
The reason I was able to make the payments early, not that it is any of your business, is because my fiance was claiming unemployment at the time, but had exhausted it and is still in the process of applying for emergency compensation.
And no, I couldnt have magically come up with the money if the representative had told me no. In case you havent noticed, money doesn't grow on trees. Why would I implicate that the representative had agreed to let me make the payment late, after stating she said they don't normally do that? If she hadn't told me that, why would I go to the trouble to put it in my report?? DUH!! Before you decide to go around incrimimating people, you should take the time to think about the situation and what you write before you write it. All youre doing is giving me an even bigger chance than 50 some odd people have already had, to prove your company is fraudulant and in the business to take peoples money, not to help people who are trying to start over.
This company has awful representation, their customer service agents are rude and half of them dont know what they should know about the company and policies. I suggest a longer, more in depth training program.
If you are looking to get a credit card from this company, think twice!!! They will do everything they can to screw you if you even get behind once!!
